We’ve got a sight to cure your legally blonde eyes.
After all Ava Phillippe traded in her blonde locks for a darker ‘do, revealing her new brunette hair on social media. As she captioned her July 30 post, “Time to see how the other half lives #brunette.”
The 24-year-old’s new hair is a stark contrast to her signature blonde look that often garners look-alike comparisons to her mother, Reese Witherspoon.
However, Ava’s hair change has already gotten the seal of approval from the Legally Blonde actress—who shares Ava and son Deacon Phillippe, 20, with ex Ryan Phillippe—as she gushed in the comments, “It's a whole mood.”
And this show of support is nothing new for this inseparable duo. "She's a beautiful person inside and out," Reese—also mom to son Tennessee, 11, with ex Jim Toth—told Vanity Fair in 2017. "I really have a rich, personal relationship with my daughter," she said. "I have a really great career, and it's nice to be able to share it with my kids."
Ava’s new hair is just the newest venture away from the blonde locks her mother and brother are known for. In December 2022, she made waves when she sported orange locks at a Celine Fashion Show in Los Angeles.
Earlier this year, she donned pink hair in a Pride month post. And that wasn’t the first time she used Elle Woods’ favorite color for hair inspiration as earlier this year Ava shared a lock of her dyed hair that she had kept in a journal from her teenage years.
“I dyed my hair pink in the bathroom when I was 14,” she wrote in the March Instagram post. “I was going through some stuff and changing my hair was something that felt fun, and it somehow helped me navigate that period of growing up.”
And changing up her look when the time is right is all part of Ava’s philosophy.
"If you want to look and feel your best, my motto is always ‘pretty is as pretty does,’" she told E! News in 2022. “I really think it rings true and that's my biggest people of advice: if you treat other people with kindness and you treat yourself with kindness, you are going to glow from within."
